What's in a Leader's Meeting?

Every month or so, the J2A leaders of All Saints get together to discuss our 'youth' program in both broad and narrow terms. Over the last two years, there have been more than two dozen of these meetings - usually after a shared dinner in one of our homes. We eat, pray and have our own spiritual connection. We don't just fill out a calendar. We maintain our own friendships with one another and we think and anticipate the needs of All Saints Youth both individually and as a group. Our leader group is still energized and excited by J2A.

We met this week at the Burns home. The topics included a review of the past weeks lessons - what worked and what didn't work. We talked about the pilgrimage - two years hence and the planning involved to pull it off. We talked about the path to confirmation and the best way to prepare our youth for an important decision. We talked about the J2A years and the new program materials. We talked about finances. And, yes, we filled out a proposed schedule through the next seven weeks.

Sun, Jan 24, Lesson: Listening Skills are a Great Place to Begin. Toni/Randy

Sun, Jan 31, [5:00-7:00PM], Following the lesson, "What Role do I Play?", J2A youth will cook a spaghetti dinner for themselves, their parents, and the leaaders. Post dinner debriefing.

Sun, Feb 7, Ice Skating in York - leaving All Saints after the appreciation dinner (12:15PM) and returning about 4PM.

Sun, Feb 14, Fifteen minutes on How to Talk to Anyone. Toni/Betsy.

Sun, Feb 21, Live Performance of "JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR" by a professional troupe at Shippensburg University. Leave All Saints at 5PM and return about 10:30PM.

Sun, Mar 7, Lesson: Bowing Down and Standing Up. Chris/Joanne.

Unless otherwise noted, all Sunday meetings run from 11:15 AM to 12:45 PM. Youth are expected to stay until the kitchen is cleaned up.
