Early on December 19, it began to snow -not with the hurry of big flakes and blustery winds but with the quiet persistance of a 'real snow'. And, it snowed and snowed and snowed. The J2A caroling for that Saturday was cancelled and then our party and gift exchange the following day. All is well. When human activity grinds to a halt, even for a few hours, we are reminded of something bigger than our own plans.
The pageant on Christmas Eve beautifully represented all the youth off All Saints - including 4 J2A'ers. A red robed Brenna, Zac and Cam took their place on the altar then joined Victoria with the pageant tribe. Brenna sang at both services. The majic of the Christmas story came alive. All is well in these moments of peace and reflection.
The schedule for the next couple of weeks:
December 27: No J2A.
January 3: Regular J2A lesson with Joanne.
January 10: Christmas party and gift exchange (regular time)
Please note that we have a Game Night scheduled with St. Mark on Saturday, January 23. Mark your calendars.
Lesson Recap:
December 6: Chris and Betsy continued some exercises on decision making and the resources that we use to make decisions. The second half of this lesson looked at decisions where having faith made a big difference. We looked at what it takes to follow Jesus' example.
